Capitalist Casualties

Hopefully you’ve already heard this band but if you haven’t yet you need to get into them right away. They’re powerviolence from Santa Rosa, California and definitely one of my favorites. They’ve been around since the late 80’s and they’re still as fast and amazing as ever. They’re playing Dude Fest this year so be sure to check out their set if you’re attending. Here’s the links to everything I have. If there’s something else you want by them, comment and I can upload it. One upload file has two 12" splits (one with Man Is The Bastard and one with Hellnation) and the other has two LPs (Disassembly Line and Subdivisions In Ruin) and one EP (Raised Ignorant).

Fresh Meat - Sweather b/w Man Or Woman

I saw Fresh Meat last night at the Alamo House in Minneapolis and picked this 7" up. Head over to ICDT for another one of their 7"s on Fashionable Idiots. Fresh Meat are grunge. Really, really grunge. They were super grunge when I saw them and super grunge on this record. Think Brainbombs, Drunkdriver, Pissed Jeans, all those retarded, disgusting punk bands. This was released by Breathing Problem Productions, you can buy this 7" there. They're still on tour, they're probably playing your town this week, go see them. website: www.fresh-meat.org

Kriegshög - Hardcore Hell

Hey guys. I’m Kevin’s girlfriend, Victoria, and I’m here to post some good music for you to download. Remember to please go out and buy shit if you like it.

So, I was in Baltimore and I went to Celebrated Summer (a really awesome punk record store in the back room of Legends Comics. You should definitely check it out if you’re ever in the area) and we were all just hanging out, listening to some records and looking through it all. Then the owner put on this one record that he had a few copies of called Hardcore Hell by Kriegshög. After hearing it, I grabbed a copy for myself right away. They play thrashy, noisy hardcore and hail from Tokyo, Japan. Highly praised record and highly recommended. Here’s the second pressing with the bonus track from their demo tape. I also included the English translations of their lyrics in the files. You can pick up a copy here but you may want to get it fast because the first pressing sold out almost immediately. Prepare for an aggressive, distorted attack on your ear drums.

Raw Nerve

R/N, the latest addition to the Youth Attack klan. 10 song demo(lition) of raging hardcore punk with lots of noise and distortion and shit, some people compare them to Void. They're from Chicago. They've only had like 1 or 2 shows and they're already blowin' up on the internets. I guess they wear ski masks at all their shows and have that ~mysterious~ gig that's ever so popular in 2k9. See for yourself: myspace//blog. you can buy the demo cassete here, or pay inflated shipping for the first pressing on ya! LP to be expected this fall. Oh, I forgot to mention there's a Nirvana cover on here. siq!!!!

Ruination / They Live

Two great bands here on this split released by Deadalive in 2000. Ruination are a hardcore supergroup with Chris Colohan of Cursed, The Swarm, and Left For Dead fame and some dude that was in Charles Bronson/Crudos. If you're unfamiliar; they play fast straight forward hardcore. It's a heavy and a bit melodic with those famous screamy-esque Chris Colohan vocals. I don't know too much about They Live, but they're from Buffalo, NY and play some nasty Infest worship. I got this for 2 dollars at Extreme Noise, I'm sure you can find it similarly priced. Enjoy this little piece of early 00's HC.

Formaldehyde Junkies

My favorite rehash hardcore band of this decade and surely the best Minneapolis hardcore punk band of recent times. Two EP's, a cover shot on MRR, and death. Members are now in the great Condominium, and Sinks. Both are equally amazing. FJ front man runs Fashionable Idiots. Check ebay for records and oddities.

Born Bad

Bare bones hardcore punk from Winnipeg, Canada. Sounds like Void, Poison Idea, etc. They have member(s) of the (now dead) canadian ragers Under Pressure. They have 3 7"s and probably some other shit I'm not aware of, but here's the 3 EP's. Check Fashionable Idiots and Vinyl Addict for purchasing. "It's a ripper"

The Breaks

Ripping hardcore punk from St. Louis, Missouri. Rehashed in vein of Necros, NA, Minor Threat, etc. They have a catchy little garage tone which I love. Angry, thrashy, straight forward hardcore punk here. For fans of Formaldehyde Junkies, Government Warning, Civic Progress and all them rippers. I'm pretty sure they're non active and broke up sometime in late 07/08. You can buy both of their 7"s at Firestarter records.

Salvation - Of Unforgiving Wind

Don't shoot me.

edit: Oh and here's the "Smoke and Mirror" 7" + 2 Unreleased songs they did on YA! last year if you missed it.

Cold Stare

So I was reading about these dudes on the internets and decided to give it a listen- I instantly fell in love. So much that I ordered their self titled 7" right away. A few things I've deciphered about COLD STARE: They're from Chul(up)a Vista, California; a little town in Southern California I think. They play negative breakneck hardcore ala Poison Idea and Die Kruezen with a little touch of Cro-Mags. This is their first and only release I believe, can't wait for more and a tour! This is highly highly highly recommended. Great wall punching/bedroom mosh material.

Regulations

Alright, if you haven't been living under a rock for the past 5 years you would know that Regulations are one of the greatest hardcore punk bands of this decade. Regulations formed in like 2002/3 after Epileptic Terror Attack broke up; they play in a similar vein. Fast, simple, catchy tracks of early 80s punk. I the snotty vocals and melodious guitars (think The Germs and early Black Flag). I'm going to upload the S/T LP, Electric Guitar EP/LP which has new material and the first 2 7"s and their newest 7" called Different Needs. They have a new LP that's been recorded and coming out on Deranged this summer. Check HavocRex for mailorder business.

Mecht Mensch & Tar Babies - Split Tape

This is a split between two great 80's Wisconsin hardcore punk bands. They shared members, recording sessions and equipment. If you're into Sin 34 or Die Kreuzen, get this.

I'm sure these are not official, but they have some songs uploaded.

108 - Songs Of Separation

I was never really a fan of 108 until I saw them last weekend at Burning Fight in Chicago. I was totally blown away by their performance. I've been listening to this record non-stop ever since I've been home. If you've buried this band into your subconscious, now its time to listen to one of the best 90s hardcore records ever.

Hammers - Year One

Hammers is a d-beat band from the UK heavily influenced by bands like the Holy Mountain, His Hero Is Gone, and Cursed. I believe their name came from a Holy Mountain song. This release contains tracks six tracks from their self titled 7", three tracks from their upcoming split with Jesus Of Spazzareth and three tracks exclusive to this tape.
