White Walls - Demo & Live 02.06.2010
I saw this band last night in Chicago. The set was great, the singer has a great voice and a pretty tight group of musicians as well- no sloppiness. I think they played all their songs too. White Walls play a kind of discordant, ugly brew of hardcore, not too different than the recent Sex/Vid and Cult Ritual. Feedback ridden guitars and shrieking, dissonant vocals take place as a muddy tone gravitates with My War style riffing. The demo is a 5 track, 8 minute long ripper (My favorite song being "The Great Excuse". Mosh.), courtesy of the band. The live recording takes 3 new songs, two from the demo, and a cover of Nirvana's "Territorial Pissings". Ohio takes heed to another young hardcore great. I guess they have members of menacing Ohio band Order 66 (Maybe it's the singer?). Demo pictured on the left, Live 02.06.2010 the right. I think the demo is in it's second pressing, email the band for a copy, or something: http://whitewallswhitewalls.blogspot.com
download both cassettes here.

Hey, if you're interested, I do a radio show every Tuesday from 7-9 in Pilsen and it'd be cool if you wanted to come on and guest DJ one night. I enjoy the blog a lot and I know it's a collaborative effort, but you and some of the other people who do FA are more than welcome to come on and play some things. You can check the podcasts here - http://harshdistractions.blogspot.com
My email is StephenCKane@gmail.com
Let me know.

Alex the bassist was the vocalist and guitarist of Order 66 as well as guitarist of Dirty Sheets. Kyle the singer was the bassist of Order 66.
Sounds good, makes me miss the midwest!
Thank you! This is pretty sick.
Hey -Kevin:
"guy who runs that blog was a slsk screamo room chatter, dude was all about 90s emo a year or two ago, now moved on to youth attack black metal."
Is that so? What room would that have been and what was my name a year or two ago? I can tell you it wasn't any of the names I have used now.
